SEPTA Park app is now available in the Apple Store or Google Play Store – download today!
After four years of offering free parking to help attract customers back to the system, SEPTA reinstates parking fees using a phased approach through November 15. You do not have to pay for parking at your station until the scheduled start date.
See the parking fee reinstatement schedule, by line and station, for exact dates. A PDF version is also available for download.
All license plates must be visible from the parking aisles; do not back in or pull through.
New SEPTA Parking Fees
- Surface Lots (96 SEPTA-owned locations): $2 per day
- Garages (3 locations: Frankford Transit Center, Norristown Transit Center and Lansdale Station Garage): $4 per day
Parking remains free at surface lots only on weekends and major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
Overnight parking is available at many of our stations. Monthly permit parking fees at SEPTA-operated station surface lots and parking garages remains suspended until further notice.
How to Pay
As part of this change, the traditional slot boxes will be phased out and replaced with modern pay stations, which will be installed at all surface lots and garages. Enter the license plate number to pay for parking, not the space number.
These pay stations will accept credit/debit cards, contactless payment (Apple, Google, Samsung Pay) and coins, reflecting our commitment to improving customer convenience. Additionally, mobile payment options are available via text or through a dedicated mobile app (iOS and Android). Text to pay: (to) 727563 (text) Station ID.
Detailed instructions to be posted at stations, and SEPTA ambassadors will be onsite to answer questions.
Do not back in or pull through parking spaces. Parking Enforcement Officers will read license plates using vehicle-mounted cameras. If your license plate is not visible, this could result in a violation. Violations or warnings will be issued for illegally parked vehicles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find my confirmation email?
If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your junk folder.
What if I already use a Flowbird parking app?
You can sign-in using those credentials (email and phone number).
Do I need to turn locations on to use the app?
Yes. For best use, you should have locations on so that lots/garages near you will appear on the map.
What do the numbers on the app map mean?
The numbers reflect how many SEPTA lots/garages are in that area. If you expand your screen, the numbers will turn to station IDs.
If there is still a parking slot box at my station, should I use it?
No. We are only collecting fares via the new parking kiosks, text to pay, and the SEPTA Park app. All slot boxes will be removed.
